Serving staff tips

  • Staff serve customers whose orders were already taken first.
  • They can serve before you take an order if matching dishes are ready.
  • Use the Rice Bowl & Gyoza Plate Shelf (Shop Lv.10) to keep side dishes flowing.

Dish-Clearing Staff details

  • They collect dishes, trays and empty drink bottles, including bottles from vacated seats, and throw the bottles away automatically.
  • They work from a Staff Dishwasher. You can see their waiting spot when you place it, and you can throw dirty dishes into the dishwasher's plate rack.
  • They store trays starting from the upper slots.
  • v0.1.57 fixed them freezing when holding tableware they couldn't put away, and picking the wrong items from mixed stacks.

Assigning staff to equipment

Staff are assigned to equipment. If equipment is damaged by fire, v0.1.57 fixed a bug that stopped you unassigning staff from it, which had prevented selling the equipment. When you load an older save, assignments to equipment that no longer exists are cleared. Staff also no longer walk over Two-Burner Stoves (Day 1).

Suggested solo setup

  1. Use Dish-Clearing Staff as soon as you can, since cleanup is the biggest solo bottleneck.
  2. Unlock the Serving Staff Workstation at Lv.9 and keep it near the pass.
  3. Add the Rice Bowl & Gyoza Plate Shelf at Lv.10 so plated sides are ready for the tray.
  4. Lower traffic or turn off side dishes in World Settings while you learn.

This order is our suggestion, not an official recommendation.

Staff customization

Staff character customization is on the roadmap's early stage. Staff names can already be edited, and v0.1.57 fixed being unable to close the name screen with Esc.
